All MK parts are designed and matched to fit and work/flow together in one of three perf. levels/stages. It is not advised to cross/mismatch the different MK levels/stages and certainly never cross with other MFGs as you may run in to fitting/install problems. (example) If installing MK SPcylinder it is recommended that you install MK SP exhaust. for maximum torque and HP as designed.
"MK Series" - Substitution parts that maintain the MFG's specifications in cylinder size and sound, consistent with the manufactures original product, the primary advantage being Metrakit's reliability and cost
"Hand Made Series" - Transformation of the original cylinder, head and exhaust pipes, which increase the displacement considerably over the manufacturers product. Our "Hand Made" components provide a noticeable gain in torque at low cost without compromising engine reliability.
"SP Series" - The sports cylinder, head and exhaust were directly developed from our racing experience. SP level is avilable for most models. SP is tipically the best of both worlds offering Pro race components with less aggressive port timing for more torque and reliability.
"Pro Race" - Our high-end competition parts employ the best components in the most aggressive design possible to offer you the fastest meanest motors in their class. All Pro Race kits are Liquid cooled, aluminum, single ring and Ni+CSi cylinder. Pro race requires Pro Crank which are reinforced to bear the highest revolutions (15,000RPM) that the cylinder and heads can offer. It is not uncommon to reach 25 hp (70cc) at the crank with these modifications. |
